LIVING AND DRAWING TRADITIONAL AND CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE

Palladian architecture has profoundly influenced Western urban planning and art, giving rise to the style of "Palladianism" that has spread throughout the world.

The course provide opportunities to practice drawing from life and learn traditional drawing techniques, as well as classical architectural composition.

Participants,
•    will live in the heart of Vicenza and travel to Possagno, and Venice;
•    will be able to perform architectural design according to Palladio’s lessons
•    will practice the technical representation of classical architecture;
•    will receive tuition in hands-on skills, measured and freehand drawing, drawing skills, traditional techniques, and documentation projects;
•    will be taught classical architecture principles, Renaissance orders, and their design features;
•    will practice graphical assignments inspired by Andrea Palladio projects.
Visiting keynote speakers will deliver talks and share applied research on drawing, heritage, and design.

ENROLMENT
The admission fee, including accommodation, is 1400 euros per person. The cost includes: educational activities in English, a welcome kit with a tour book, private tours, transfers to Venice and Possagno, museum tickets (Palladio Museum, Villa La Rotonda, Teatro Olimpico, Palazzo Chiericati, Antonio Canova Museum), welcome and farewell dinner.

Palazzo Valmarana Braga in Vicenza, designed by Andrea Palladio.​​
